Pool Toys for the Young and the Young at Heart
Pool toys have come a long way over the years, so what is available today may be a far cry from what you may remember using as a youngster. More choices and better materials have made shopping for pool toys so much more fun. The are cheaper to buy and last longer as well and you may be surprised at what your money can buy now.
One new amazing development to hit the market is super easy to set up inflatable pool slides for instance. They come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes and you will be surprised at how affordable they are as well. There are even floating inflatable pool slides that the kids can have a great time with, climbing on and using out on the water.
Another new development is soft and spongy foam filled, floating pool toys that never have to be inflated. They are made of newer high tech materials that stand up bettor to heavy use. No air leaks means that if they are properly stored between uses they can last for years.
The choices in pool games has also expanded greatly. However; when you shop for pool games you have to be aware of the age group that they are recommended for. Older kids like competitive water sports games, such as pool basketball while younger kids like the fetch games that involve retrieving toys that have been thrown in the pool.
If you don’t buy pool toys that are specifically designed for pool use then like it or not, the kids will find their own toys to bring in the water. This can become a problem, because any hard plastic or rigid toys can cause harm especially to the younger kids.
So when you are buying any toys such as balls for instance, bear in mind that at some point in time someone is going to get hit by what ever it is that you are buying right in the face. Make sure that balls that you bring into your pool are soft and light, because heavy balls, such as a football or basketball will quickly become a nuisance for this reason.

Kids Go Crazy With Awesome Pool Toys
There are certain dos and don’ts that you must learn before you buy any pool toys or the money that you spend can all go to waste. How can this be and after all its only pool toys? Keep reading and you will learn.
No Bats of Any Type
Don’t bring any type of plastic bat toys into your pool. Baseball games soon end when the ball is blasted out of the yard or taken by a dog and then the kids just end up using the bat to assault each other with it until someone ends up with a bloody nose or a swollen purple eye. So all bats or bat-like toys are a no-no.
No Heavy Balls
Basketball or water polo games are always a big hit but make sure that you never bring a heavy ball into your pool that is meant for a field. Kids will be beaning each other on the head and face with any ball that finds its way in to the pool and a heavy ball such as a basketball can harm a child.
Marco Polo
Take a pair of comfortable swim goggles and paint then black. Kids just love to play “marco-polo” and need something to block the vision of the main player. This blinded player then pursues the other players around the pool trying to catch one. Every time he calls out “marco” they have to say “polo” which allows this player to track them with sound only.
